  • A family walk from the village of Fontaines (Doix lès Fontaines) to the terrées separated by a network of canals. (difficult to access in winter).

  • Terrées, or "trailles" in Maraîchin dialect, are plantations of pollarded ash trees arranged in long parallel strips bordered by shallow ditches. They are also home to a botanically rich ecosystem.
    On this trail, you can discover burdock, purple loosestrife, marsh fireweed and, in early spring, the magnificent flowering of the marsh iris.
