Meet at 22 rue Rabelais.

The word "theatre" comes from the Greek for "to see", and refers to the tiers, the place from which spectators could see.
The municipal theatre is therefore a place of entertainment, set in a true Italian style. It was built in 1832 by the Fontenay architect Joseph Babin, assisted by the architect Jean Perrier, on the site of a private theatre that had been bought by the town.
