Synopsis
In 1902, Vladimir Arseniev, an officer-topographer, leads an expedition to explore the Ussuri region of eastern Russia. There he meets Dersou Ouzala, a hunter who knows the area inside out. Together, the two men face up to a hostile natural environment and eventually become friends.
