    Dear traveller, let me introduce myself: my name is Daniel, and I love plants and woodworking. I've been combining these two passions for a long time.

    The place: a former convent and school built in 1820 where more than four thousand children learned to read, write and count. They had a great time, they laughed and they ran through the gardens and the patio of this place, sometimes it seems that their energy is still present. Several cats wandering around the garden complete the landscape, in harmony with the rest.

    Woodwork: this is what I do most of the time, at home. I always say that it's essential to keep inventing, to keep creativity alive.

    The village: It's a quiet little place, typical of the French countryside, with its bakery, tobacconist, small supermarket, pharmacy, library and so on.
    Fontenay-le-Comte, a Renaissance town, is 13 km away, where you can find everything you need.

    What can you expect: a place very close to nature, where you can take the time to contemplate and be attentive to the world around us, which sometimes becomes invisible in this digital present.
