The Maîtrise de la Cathédrale is a children's and youth choir whose origins date back to 1402, when Bishop Simon de Cramaud set up the first children's choir in Saint-Pierre Cathedral. Since then, young singers have taken turns singing at services, bringing the repertoire to life and acquiring solid musical training.

Today, the choir is a youth choir with around thirty singers. Sopranos and altos are sung by children and young people aged between 8 and 22, while tenors and basses are sung by young boys, backed up by a few men who have also been little singers. Sacred and secular music are performed side by side to broaden the scope of the programme and open children up to the widest possible musical culture.

Antara Korai - Alcorcón Children's Choir (Madrid, Spain)

The Antara Korai youth choir was founded in 2005 by Juan Antonio Jiménez at the Manuel de Falla music school in Alcorcón (Madrid). Since 2010, the choir has been invited to take part in numerous concerts and choral music festivals throughout Spain. Its reputation has spread beyond Spain's borders, with invitations to perform in Switzerland, France, Italy, Prague and London.

The choir has won numerous prizes and, together with the Spanish National Orchestra and Choir, took part in the two trailer concerts for Monsters and Villains conducted by Frank Strobel and Andrés Salado, and in the 2nd and 3rd parts of The Lord of the Rings conducted by Shih-Hung Young.

When young and old play the sorcerer's apprentice!

A fun, interactive concert featuring two pianists and a referee. They invite parents to become apprentices and children to transform themselves into sorcerers during a game hosted by Maureen Dor! Who will emerge victorious?

Made famous by Walt Disney, the music by Paul Dukas tells the story of a sorcerer's apprentice who tries to put a spell on a broom to fill buckets with water. The trick seems to work, but the apprentice gradually realises that he is not in control of his magic: the broom quickly becomes uncontrollable, and flooding is inevitable!
