In the early 1960s, in one of the towns bordering the Sahara, a haulier has his brand new lorry, loaded with mysterious goods, stolen.
loaded with mysterious but valuable merchandise. He asks Marec, known as "Le Plouc", to hunt down Rocco the thief, who is fleeing with his fiancée with the intention of selling the goods and enjoying a few days of idleness. A chase begins in the desert. Marec is charged with bringing him back at all costs.

The film is both lively and funny, meticulous in its directorial choices and in the characterisation of its characters, thanks to Michel Audiard's now legendary dialogue. And, of course, a cast that still leaves you dreaming.
